We’re hoping to see Lawtech’s contractors renderers busy pushing on.
I visited the project Friday and found we had men on site, but it wasn’t who was meant to be there, it was another one of Lawtech’s subcontractor insulators. The insulator foremen said that he had been asked to come down and complete the base coat Friday and Saturday as the other rendering team had been allocated to another project, we were unhappy with the change but it was good to finally see some progress. The foremen did what he had promised and completed the base coat render.
Thursday 4th November - Day 15
Lawtech should be proceeding on site
After visiting site Thursday to see progress (dry day), still no renderers on site. I called Lawtech’s PM who explained that the renderers who were coming from up North hadn’t come as it was raining. The PM from Lawtech assured us again that they would be on site Friday and he assured us that due to us breaking down site Friday 12th November that they would be complete and all off site by the close of play Wednesday (again 3 additional days on top of their already extended completion date). I asked the PM that afternoon or Friday morning to send me an email given me documented evidence that his verbal assurances would be met, and to no surprise, no email was ever received!

Wednesday 3rd November - Day 14
Tenant moves back into her home.
Kitchen all complete including all new AAA rated appliances including the NEFF induction hob and Siemens dishwasher.
One of the team all happy to see the last appliance lifted into place.
Last but not least all the team lends a hand to a very happy tenant moving into her newly refurbished home.
Thanks to all the team at BBCL and the specialist subcontractors the dead line was met and we even had the energy left for a quick smile. A good job done all round in only 14 working days!!
But smiles did not last long when there was still no progress from Lawtech to complete the base coat render, the delivery of all the materials had arrived as you can see in the photo above. By this stage it had gone beyond lack of communication and disorganisation. Lawtech’s PM had continually promised BBCL they would be on site to complete the works prior to the tenant moving back into her property which is today. Not committing to his word only left us feeling like this project was being used as a “hospital job”. We contacted Lawtech’s director and explained the continual issues we had been having with their PM, and following the way the project had been run, we had no other choice other than to request a replacement PM to complete the project.
