Carpet being laid in the dining room and cleaning frantically in the kitchen.

Final vanish and gloss to the kitchen and diner

Lounge carpets laid to the lounge area

Carpets laid and all gloss paint works completed to the hall area.

Lawtech’s renders unable to attend site again due to none delivery of materials, Lawtech’s PM explained that there had been a problem with the delivery and it would not arrive until Wednesday, but promised us that renderers would be on site tomorrow. We immediately asked for a site meeting to discuss the lack of progress and a revised complete date. Lawtech’s PM was unable to make a meeting so we agreed over the phone to extend their completion date by 1 week, giving now a completion date of Friday 5th November. We was given all assurances again that the project would be complete by that date, giving only 3 days to complete the whole project including the removal of our site welfare compound, which was very tight and we could not encounter any more missed days caused by Lawtech

Monday 1st November - Day 12

Decorating complete to the kitchen and diner with the rest of the ground floor coming to a close and Lawtech back on site.
With a big push the walls are tiled in the kitchen and all painting to the wall in the dining room and kitchen are complete.

With the dead line approaching lounge area and hall have paint to all wall and part of the gloss work complete.
Below the final finishing’s to the skirting heating are fitted with only timing required to complete.

Lawtech’s subcontractors arrive back on site, insulation is finally delivered and the fixed to the entire window reveals on No. 14 to avoid cold bridging.

The photos here show that every effort was made of maximize any potential cold bridging.

That afternoon Lawtech’s subcontractor renderers arrive on site early to help push the works along, at this stage the insulation to the reveals are complete and the additional base coat render material has arrive, but still no brick affect colored render on site, which is a worry.

It’s not long before the renderers have the house base coat on after putting in the extra hours to help recoup valuable lost time, but again problems with Lawtech’s organisation strikes, they run out of base coat material as not enough has been ordered, there is still the complete rear of the property to complete and there was still the missing delivery of brick affect render that was still not on site. Following this and as before the renderers had to leave the project until the material was delivered. Again Lawtech’s PM had failed to deliver. Two days before the tenant was due to move back in, it was evident that the external works would not be completed.

Inside the property, unlike outside, spirits are high with BBCL’s team on track. Two days until the tenant moves back in and the boys already running to hoover over the newly laid carpet and start that spring clean to the rest of the house.

With the spring clean going on elsewhere in the house the kitchen vinyl floor is laid and sealed.
